To test your iOS App on one or more devices you must create an .ipa package file for an Ad Hoc Distribution

Ad Hoc Distribution

1- Compile fields in Project Settings, General Tab. For an Ad Hoc Distribution, make sure that App Identifier, Code Signing Identity (Distribution), Developer Account Team ID and Provisioning Profile (Ad Hoc Distribution) are filled. Refer to the sections iOS HowTos: How to Create a Provisioning ProfileiOS HowTos: How to Create a Code Signing IdentityiOS HowTos: How to Create an App Identifier to generate the required fields.

2- After setting Icons and Covers and the Package configurations, click on Publish. In the first window, under Pack iOS App for select “Ad Hoc Distribution”.

The .ipa package file will be generated, ready for distribution on devices authorized by the incorporated Provisioning Profile.

3- PubCoder will go through the compiling process and will ask you to save the .ipa package file in your Finder.

4- To view the .ipa file on your local device:

– With Xcode 5.1 installed:

Plug your device to the computer. From the Window menu open Organizer. From the list of devices click on the preferred device, then drag and drop or add via the plus button the file.

– With Xcode 6.1 installed:

Plug your device to the computer. From the Window menu open Device. Click on the preferred device, then drag and drop or add via the plus button the file.
